1. Bezos sold last year on two consecutive days as well, so nothing spectacular.
2. How do you come up with a statement like this without any figures.
3. They have that every year, which is just a marketing tool because this press release goes all over the USA.
You could be right that US sales are not growing as rapidly due to increased competition, but international sales will be much higher due to much higher traffic on (China (+ 4 million)/Japan (+18 million)/ German's (+5 million) amazon websites. UK website will incur some backlash from tax issues Amazon has.
If you track traffic you can expect at least 21.5 billion revenue according to my estimates which is right in the middle.
