But Windows Phone and RT are very much wait-and-see events. And Google does have some vested interest in slowing their adoption (especially since Bing is the default search engine for both).
I have no handle on just how different it is from the standard product. Everything I tried, including stuff that don't work on the more popular tablet OS, worked, although obviously I didn't test out software that would require installation on the in-store devices. So when folks talk about RT as if it is an entirely different animal than the standard version I find it confusing.
I'm also rather vague on why WPhone8, using the Win2k kernal, if I remember correctly, shouldn't perform virtually like standard windows as well.
All told, I think Wphone, RT, and the standard Windows will likely converge over time, which would suggest that Google couldn't really ignore a product used by more than 90% of the world's population.
Unless, of course, Chrome takes over... but that's probably bit far out there....
