Thursday, December 13, 2012, 6:58 PM ETDespite its misgivings, a spokesman for the Allied Pilots Association - which represents American Airlines pilots - says the union still supports the proposed merger between American (AAMRQ) and US Airways (LCC), following meetings the union held with AMR CEO Tom Horton today. LCC has been pushing for a merger between the two carriers all year, and with the support of all its unions, the two airlines combined would be on par with current leader United Continental (UAL) in scope.
