  • AlbyVA,

How could you have thought that, when they just announced the dividend today. The day AGNC announces their dividend (today) is the day they tell you the amount, the ex-date,the record date and the PAY DATE !!

I am psyched. So, many were thinking the dividend would be cut, so the stock is now up 4% after hours, because they did not cut the dividend. I will be collecting a juicy dividend once again. Gotta love AGNC.

I hope AGNC goes down, so I can get more shares on 1/28/13. But it rarely happens. AGNC will probably rally to 33-34/share or more by the paydate. Well, at least I will get more shares.

  • has not been an easy time to stay long l-reits. I did stay the course on AGNC but sold all my ARR on the ex-date and glad I did.

ARR will most likely have to reduce their dividend and then one can look at a re-entry. IF ARR lowers divident to .08 p/m and one assumes a 14% yield,,,the price should be around 6.86. Lower expected yields in this group will bring price down further, or a larger dividend cut will do same. There is time to watch and wait for this one.

  • CEO of AGNC bought a chuck of shares this month at higher prices. A director added some as well.

  • What Manage does should not be considered wise investment advice. Would you believe that Bernie Ebbers of Worldcom did the same thing and look what happened to Worldcom back in the day.

  • I increased my position by 15% at $28.85 last month. I am looking for a downward adjustment to the dividend next year. Possibly around $4

Congrats on your position at $28.85

Interesting first comment. Interested in your thoughts about a "downward adjustment to the dividend next year. Possibly around $4."

Could you describe your thinking here ? Are you referring to the share price dropping $4 from where it stands now $31.36 AH ?

  • Think I got it now. You're looking for dividend to go from around $5 to $4 a year ?
