Market recap: Bets appear to be increasing on a fiscal cliff deal getting done, as stocks pushed to solid gains after Boehner's weekend concession on a tax rate increase for millionaires was followed by another meeting today with Pres. Obama. Sentiment was helped early by the election of a pro-stimulus government in Japan. Financials paced the advance, with the sector hitting three-month highs.

  • New York Times reporting that deal is close, Obama sent counter proposal that has high chance of success. Loving it. Futures up sharply.
