He views the deal as a "modest net negative" for Salesforce, believing it will make it a little tougher to eat away at Oracle's (ORCL) traditional Siebel CRM software base. Startups Marketo and HubSpot are named as potential Salesforce targets - both compete with Eloqua, and would complement Salesforce's Marketing Cloud offerings. (previous)
