Groupon (GRPN) takes another step towards (attempting to) becoming a broader local e-commerce solutions provider by acquiring CommerceInterface, a provider of channel management software for manufacturers, distributors, and retailers. Groupon notes it has been using CommerceInterface to streamline order execution for Groupon Goods. The startup counts Amazon, eBay, and Newegg among its customers, but Groupon says CommerceInterface will "no longer service other retail channels." (DealAdvisor)
