I've never looked at their stock, but I like PNC. They gave me quarters once when I was desperate and needed to do my laundry and my own bank... didn't have quarters. They were really nice to me as well. I wondered why the hell I wasn't banking with PNC. When it comes time for me to get a mortgage or whatever I will definitely look at them first. I know this sounds like a silly anecdotal example but I think it says good things about their culture, and I think that will pay off for them in the long run, at least if a lot of their employees are like that.

PNC is my personal bank. They are friendly and helpful. However, from a equity standpoint, they are habitual disappointments.

Owning this stock was like having a mild toothache. It's never bad enough to cause you to scream, but it's just mildly annoying enough to make your head hurt. My advice is stay away. There are far easier financials to own with WAY more upside then PNC.

If PNC did their marketing homework in the southeast where they recently opened numerous branches, they would find that BBT is ripe to be knocked off as a regional powerhouse.

PNC is a great bank to do business with. They need to get the word out.

PNC still charges an annual fee to use my bank card instead for cash of using their debit card. When I get a little more energy, I'm moving to a credit union.
