  • Would Whitney Tilson think that Mr. Ackman's ananlysis of Herbalife was "the best piece of investment analysis" he has ever seen if it didn't agree with his short position?

Give me a break. How transparent are these "smartest guys in the room" in wanting to drive the price of Herbalife lower?

  • Not very smart...the analysis was flawed and inaccurate in many areas.
The truth will come out on the 10th January.

  • China is not a free market. Its a centrally controlled economy. They are sensitive to people empowerment. Direct sales is all about empowering citizens to take control of their own financial destiny. This type of ideal may be viewed with skepticism by authoritarian governments.
By the way the Chinese also have blocked google...they filter the entire internet with the great firewall. Its a very restrictive country.

  • Bill Ackmans "novel" is the most remarkable piece of crap I have ever seen. Let's hope he is penalized tot he fullest extent. This is blatant market manipulation at it's best by one of the sleaziest snake oil salesman - short in the business.

  • China is not the only country to take a position against Herbalife. Let's recall Belgium at the end of last year outlawing Herbalife for being precisely a pyramide scheme!
