    Google (GOOG) is as happy to pay phone companies as it is music studios for the privilege of having consumers adopt its cloud services. The search giant says Gmail users will be able to place free domestic voice calls in the U.S. and Canada again in 2013. Google, which is trying to peck away at Skype's (MSFT) dominant position in the consumer VoIP/video call space, made a similar announcement a year ago. Skype currently boasts over 250M monthly users.
