    Following a Christmas eve outage that affected Netflix, Salesforce.com's Heroku unit, and other major Internet services providers, many Amazon Web Services (AMZN) clients are re-evaluating their dependence on the platform, which has been growing like wildfire. "This does seem to be happening on a fairly consistent basis," says the CEO of one client - AWS also saw big outages at its East Coast data center in October and June. Those who use multiple data centers seem to have better luck.

  • completely agree. Between this, and the margin erosion with pricing and shipping costs, AMZN is dancing around the bottomless well back to reality.
