I have no problem with the idea of unions. Our relatives fought very hard for the right to unionize. If I want to join a union I want to be allowed to. However, if I don't want to join one, don't make me. Right to work should be instituted by all states. Let the people decide if they want to be in a union.

The power to "order workers back on the job" and the power to "force workers back on the job" are two different things. Only the old Soviets knew how to achieve the latter, and only in Siberian canal projects.

GO UNIONS. Education, effort and self reliance are no longer the 'American Way' Ganging up and sticking it to the employers and other Americans is the way forward and unions are doing a fine job of it. Only in union wonderland can high school educated folks doing clerical jobs be making 160K plus total comp and have about 3 mos of annual vacation - a la Los Angeles Port. Any surprise on why port workers elsewhere are also inspired? Unions and CA are doing a fantastic job in defining a new world for all of us. Kudos.
