    Ericsson (ERIC) is seeing strong uptake for its AIR systems, which combine a base station's antenna and radio into a single tower-mounted product. The company recently claimed shipments of AIR units, which can improve coverage while lowering installation times and power consumption, totaled 2K/week. The fact rivals Nokia Siemens and Huawei don't yet have comparable products could help Ericsson grow its market-leading mobile infrastructure share.

    Another good reason to indicate why Ericsson have been working so hard in standards bodies to prevent small cell architectures such as Iuh being used for metrocells and linking in to the macro network
