    A U.S. District Judge has put a preliminary stamp of approval to a settlement valued at more than $1B between Toyota (TM) and an estimated 19M current and former Toyota owners who claim their vehicles contain defects causing sudden, unintended acceleration. A fairness hearing will be held on June 12 to give the proposed settlement final approval.
