The division is led by Erik Huggers, formerly in charge of the BBC's popular iPlayer, and also features an ex-Apple exec who was in charge of iPhone/iPod marketing. It's working on a set-top Intel hopes will outshine Apple TV by requiring less user interaction; an announcement is expected soon, but (per GigaOm) not at CES. The initiative meshes with departing CEO Paul Otellini's goal of growing Intel's services ops. But will content providers play ball?
