    Global Baristas reportedly outbid Starbucks (SBUX) in a bankruptcy auction to win the 47 Tully's Coffee outlets up for sale. The final word on the matter will come from the court on January 11, but one Global Baristas' owners - actor Patrick Dempsey - tipped off the development with a tweet exclaiming "we met the green monster, looked her in the eye, and...SHE BLINKED!"

    Would have been a good aquisition for Starbucks. This will keep them on their toes next time.
