Friday, January 4, 10:53 AM ETAmazon (AMZN) continues its video licensing spree, striking a deal with A&E to gain streaming rights for popular shows on Lifetime, The History Channel, A&E, and The Biography Channel. Netflix (NFLX) lost access to many of these shows in September. The positive spin: Amazon, which now has 33K titles in its library, has a growing amount of valuable content that isn't available on Netflix. The negative spin: these deals aren't coming cheap, and Amazon doesn't have Netflix's streaming revenue base to subsidize them.
