Friday, January 4, 5:33 PM ETAdd Sony (SNE) to the growing list of companies reportedly working on an Internet-based pay-TV service: sources tell Variety Sony is in "active negotiations with at least two major content companies about licensing their channels for a package that could roll out in the U.S. later this year." But there's no evidence to suggest Sony, which has the benefit of deep Hollywood ties thanks to its studio ops, has been more successful at getting TV channel owners to sign on than Apple or Intel.
