CES phone news roundup: 1) Huawei is trying to one-up Samsung's 5.5" Galaxy Note II by launching the 6.1" Ascend Mate. Will consumers finally reject a phone for being too big? 2) Vizio, bane of TV brands worldwide, is releasing 2 Android devices - one with a 5" 1080p display, another with a 4.7" display and unibody design. Given Vizio's track record, expect pricing to be aggressive. 3) Alcatel (ALU) is reaffirming its smartphone commitment by launching 3 new Android models, one of which has an OLED display and is just 6.45mm thick. 4) Sprint (S) says its first Windows Phone 8 devices will arrive this summer, courtesy of Samsung and HTC. Update: Vizio has also announced Android tablets powered by Nvidia's Tegra 4 processor.
