    Silver claws back a chunk of its 12% drop last night. Recent spectacular gains, combined with thin trading, and a weekend margin hike by broker MF Global to nearly double that of the CME combined to produce a "flash crash" for the metal. Premarket: SLV -5.5%.

  • It will be interesting to see where it ends the day. Now close to $47. So if it closes near no change, then what will people say about the weekend activity. Will pundits still suggest it was a bubble pop, or will they finally admit to a concentrated effort at manipulation.
