I think the magnitude would be pretty big. DoCoMo has over 60M subs in one of the world's wealthiest and most iPhone-loving markets. Apple's Sep. quarter Japanese sales more than doubled, largely because of iPhone sales to KDDI/SoftBank.

Why would you think that? If Apple can sell 7 million per quarter through that carrier it will smash the forward forecast.

I agree with kroyals, why scoff at potential sales? Apple has even now cut deals with pre-paid carriers that have significantly less customers. The main reason that they even have the purchase commitments is so that they can produce enough phones for each specific carrier and so that apple knows that they will not favor the rival phone manufacturers, leaving apple with excess capacity at production facilities & excess supply that they cannot sell. I prefer the normal supply and demand that I learned in economics, but apple demand is high enough for them to negotiate more favorable terms.

I live in Japan and rest assured a deal with NTT DoCoMo would be a big deal. Softbank's signal coverage is weak thoughout Japan, forcing many, including me, to use NTT and other than Apple phones. The Japanese cell phone market is the most sophisticated in the world. The technology is cutting edge and way ahead of other nations, especially the USA. Moreover, the Japanese love Apple products. It will be a win win for both NTT & Apple.
