I think FDA will approve BMTI's Augment. A similar formulation GEM21 was approved 5 years ago for dental surgery and is a great product-it rebuilt a friend's jaw after an accident. There have been no problems with GEM21 and they sold the product to focus on Augment. FDA review panel has seen product as slightly better than other standards as it has fewer complications. But unlike other products it does not require a second dangerous and painful surgery to remove a part of the patients own bone from another site to make product with. Think money,safety and time saved!!
