Industry watchers say that Japan will be a test case for how Boeing's (BA -3.8%) Dreamliner 787 customers respond to safety concerns surrounding the aircraft. With most of its 787s in service in Japan right now, it's a high profile market for BA. Existing, as well as future customers are looking to see how the issues are dealt with before deciding what action to take with their orders. As the problem seems to be more and more systemic, the heat is on for BA to take more steps straight away to assuage the safety concerns.
