Friday, January 18, 10:16 AM ETJDS Uniphase (JDSU -2.3%) and Oclaro (OCLR -2.7%) fall after rival Finisar (FNSR -6.2%) gets hit with a downgrade to Underperform from Jefferies over the adoption of silicon photonics tech. Earlier this week, Intel announced its silicon photonics solution, which can enable short-range 100G Ethernet links, would be used in Facebook's increasingly popular Open Compute data center platform. Also: JDS test equipment rival Ixia (XXIA -2.7%) has been downgraded to Neutral by Lazard, which cites valuation.
