Englishmen are entitled to use their own language as they please and place names on countries as they please. It is indeed the "Ivory Coast" in English just as it used to be "Bombay" and now is "'Or'nee'%h\oray" (sorry, doing my best to imitate the squiggles).
In my lifetime "Beping" became "Peking" became Beijing" became "Krugman's Maoist Paradise."
I prefer the English method of naming the place simply and without squiggles and then leaving the name the same.

I'm sorry I couldn't find a reference to Côte d'Ivoire on the McDonald's website, but hopefully you will find these official websites "American " enough.
