    Walter Energy (WLT) and Alpha Natural Resources (ANR) are upgraded to Buy from Hold at Dahlman Rose, which sees catalysts from spot prices rising above the quarterly benchmark, potential supply issues in Mongolia, production cuts in the U.S. and continued strength in Chinese demand. The firm expects tempered commentary from coal companies during Q4 earnings. WLT +1.3%, ANR +1.9% premarket.

    I would expect as the world recovers from poor global economy so to will coal.

    And as I predicted, sell side analysts would start changing from hold to buy when the stock was trading at $10. Of course, they didn't say anything when we kept bouncing down to $6.
