    The U.S. and EU are making final preparations to start what are expected to be "difficult negotiations" on a free-trade pact that would encompass 800M people. While the EU and U.S. already have low-tariff agreements, businesses want common regulations such as with drug approvals and car-safety testing. The European Commission reckons a deal could boost the EU's output by €65B, which would be worth a 0.5% rise to its GDP.
