    BP says it has successfully started up oil production from new facilities at the Valhall field in the North Sea, aiming to extend the lifetime of the veteran field by another 40 years. Production is expected to build up to ~65K boe/day in H2 2013. The field also is BP's first to be powered entirely from shore, in line with a government push to avoid the use of more pollutive gas turbines onboard platforms.
