More layoffs in the tech sector - not good, even though it may be necessary for saving the bottom line. These companies need to grow top line to retain or grow tech jobs.

P.S. "Americans unwilling or unavailable to fill those jobs" used as a crutch for the latest on why we need more cheap(er) labor from immigration reform. What a crock. There are very qualified people out there willing and able to perform a range of jobs at market wages. I am pro immigration, but let's not lie about our work force and the dynamics.

Good question and thanks for the article. That was over a whole quarter again and Microsoft did just report they are having very strong numbers in their data center group, with Hyper-V being mentioned specifically.

VM technology is getting really commoditized also.

VMW has had problem quarters before. However it's trading range has been down as it seems to get to $100 then falter to low 80's.
Getting to be a pattern.
