    Eurozone unemployment comes in at 11.7% in December, which was stable compared with November and below consensus of 11.9%. The number of unemployed peopled was also stable at 18.715M. Austria had the lowest rate with 4.3% unemployment, while Greece (26.8% in October) and Spain (26.1%) had the highest. Youth unemployment was 24%. (PR)

  • Where coerced misallocation of resources and class warfare is greatest, unemployment is the highest.

    The most cruel consequences are for young adults whose human capital is eroding by the month--- which means their global competitiveness and lifecycle earnings are deteriorating rapidly.
    For the Euro-Periphery a lost generation is now certain.

  • I feel sorry for the youth.....I too wonder what they will be like in 10 years....and what they will think like in 10 years....will they think its their fault...or someone elses?
