    Microsoft (MSFT) could announce a deal to sell its Atlas ad-serving/measurement platform (obtained through the infamous aQuantive acquisition) to Facebook (FB) by next week, AdAge reports, while adding the sale price is expected to be less than $100M (given prior bids were in the $30M-$50M range). Facebook has reportedly been eying Atlas to further its display ad network ambitions. Separately, a judge has invalidated 13 patent claims being asserted by Motorola Mobility (GOOG) in its legal battle with Microsoft.

    Kudos for FB if they can close the deal, even though the price-tag may be too high for comfort.

    Msft already wrote down aQ, maybe they'll take payment in other than cash. I can think of a few great deals to cut.
