Apple's (NASDAQ:AAPL) iAd mobile advertising platform, introduced a year ago, is off to a bumpy start: Apple is aggressively cutting rates as advertisers balk at iAd's premium pricing and turn to competitors. For now at least, iAd doesn't appear much of a threat to Google's (NASDAQ:GOOG) top-dog status in the burgeoning mobile ad market.
