For those of you intending to retire in a couple of years, and need some income - Look at ACAS. Currently selling at a nice discount of 33% ($4.36/share) from net asset value, it is earning about $3.44 per diluted share. While it is not CURRENTLY paying dividends, that is an abnormality due to the high tax losses of the fiscal crisis. Expecting DIVIDENDS on the order of $3.50/share in a couple of years is NOT a fantasy. At that time, a net asset value on the order of about $20/share, and share prices of well over $20.00 per share are very possible. In the past, when paying dividends, as a Busness Development Corporation, this stock sold at 2Xbook
I am long ACAS in multiple accounts with a cost basis between $8.96 and $ $11.67.
