Monday, February 11, 10:17 AM ETJMP thinks Apple's recent hiring of an LG researcher with OLED expertise bodes well for Universal Display (PANL). The firm believes Apple could begin using OLEDs in its hardware by 2014 or 2015, and that such a move would increase PANL's addressable market by at least 50%. Apple has already obtained a slew of OLED patents, and has been rumored to be interested in archrival Samsung's OLED panels. PANL is now up 45% from its Dec. 5 close.
