Gas without fracking is expensive. Gas with fracking is no greener than coal.
Until there is a real shortage of the stuff - which doesn't look like its anywhere on the horizon - it's a safe bet that it will see increased popularity.
The states banning fracking will come back on board when they see their sister states who didn't ban making all the money and not suffering any environmental consequences.
