    Wal-Mart's (WMT -2.4%) problems run much deeper than a payroll tax hike, writes RetailGeeks. Instead the company's investment in "price" didn't pay off in improved traffic for 2012. The company planned a large marketing spend in Q4 to reverse this - if next week's earnings don't show better traffic Y/Y in Q4, look for 2013 to be an ugly year.
