    Nokia (NOK), Microsoft (MSFT) and Vimpelcom (VIP) sign an agreement that will allow the latter's customers - via a "VimpelCom Shelf" - to use their cellular accounts to more easily find and buy content from the Windows Phone Store. Meanwhile, the store now offers over 125K apps in 191 countries, while Windows phones will be rolled out to over 70 countries in the next 12 months and support 50 display languages.

    Interesting . I think also that it is a good idea for Microsoft and Nokia to reach to as many service provider (telcos) as possible in order for their customer to be able to pay for apps in their monthly phone bill . Most apps are very cheap and it's an unwelcome hassle to go thru a credit card for 3 to 5 US$ once a while .

    There are plenty of apps out there that are useful and paid. For certain dempgraphics shelling out a tiny payment of a few bucks for something useful, or even mildly entertaining is a no-brainer.

    @Gloube . In most cases , like games , it is unnecessary . But some business apps are really useful and are only on trial .

    A number of friends also scoffed at paying for apps. They're all iPhone users though - i.e., gamers, not serious about work - and the most useful app they have - had - is a Google map. Me, I search & delete all the games on my phones. They chintzy up my phone.
