    Dow Chemical (DOW) loses a $400M jury verdict in a trial over claims it conspired with other chemical makers to fix the price of urethane products used in making cars, appliances and furniture. The plaintiffs had asked for $1.125B in damages. Shares -0.9% AH.

  • So often price fixing is not due to true collusion, but simply that all parties make public statements to the effect that they are "fearful of price erosion". This code means: I won't compete if you won't. They don't actually have to directly communicate to read the code and act accordingly.
