Might come in handy if you couldn't get an immediate appointment with your regular doctor, or if you wanted a pre-opinion before deciding whether to make an opinion with your regular doctor. Especially if you have high deductibles on your health insurance.

Physicians, and Medicine, have been influenced by drug companies for years and now it appears large drug store chains will be next. With the increased demand upon physicians that Obamacare is expected to generate, physician services that will not include an examination or ongoing relationship will, apparently, be available as an alternative to the traditional office visit. This is not in the best interest of patients, will result in a lesser quality of care, and will channel a stream of prescriptions to the pharmacies. Big business is at it again.

I can see it now:
Patient: Doctor, I have this mole on my lower back.
Doctor: Hmm, take off your shirt, press the mole up to the camera.
Patient: Well doc, it's, uh, er, a little lower than that.

Doctor: No problem. snap a picture of it and send to me. We'll have our clinical staff in Bangalore look it over and get back to you.

Dr: Uh, that will be $25.00. Or, buy $15.00 of qualifying Rite-Aid private label products today, and your visit with me is free!

This is the future: Phone banks of doctors in India consulting with patients via webcams located in drug stores throughout the US. The tele-prompter says: "Please Hold for the next available Physician." Don't laugh.
