The Goldilocks approach to Canada? Wal-Mart (WMT +0.6%) isn't dragging its feet as rival Target (TGT -0.4%) launches a full retail assault in Canada, but it's also not quite matching the aggressive pace either. The company will strategically remodel 73 stores to make them more competitive with Target in the market and open some well-placed new ones as well. Capital spending scorecard in Canada for 2013: TGT $1.5B vs. WMT $750M.
