Friday, March 8, 12:21 PM ETMore on Apple: Raymond James reports many iPhone suppliers have "recently indicated an expectation of earlier seasonality," and takes it as evidence of a pending refresh. A big drop in shipments is expected for the June quarter, followed by Sep. quarter growth. The big question for Apple is whether an iPhone 5S that keeps a 4" display (as has been reported) will lead to a major sales pickup in the face of growing demand for larger displays, and the upcoming launch of Samsung's Galaxy S IV. However, an early 5S release would suggest an accelerated launch for an iPhone 6 rumored to have a bigger display.

Wait. I just did.
There's a reason Samsung is downplaying their phone divisions future income.

Apple wants to move the needle with products, not rumors.
If anything it's not worth the reputational fall out of getting caught manipulating the media.
Keep in mind, the company is run by successful adults. Your comments only show you have some personal feelings against Apple. Over telephones.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say odds are Apple is more focused on their own products, but if there is ever a "stampede" over a Samsung announcement, that'll be something, no doubt!
Logically one might think that phone makers are too obtuse to see the future when it is right in front of them, but the real reason is that they want to squeeze every last penny of profit out of present products before making better others, and then do the same with those, and on and on.
Often it is faster to open a program in a web browser than using the specific app.
Are you saying Skype, GVoice, ... are non-functional in an iPAD or Nexus pad?
But someday, yes, it will be inherent.
Apple will introduce a new feature on its upcoming iphone that will begin an all new revenue stream for Apple; one that is big, and requires no hardware, as lucrative as itunes, if not more so. If you aren't long AAPL now, you should be soon. We'll never see this stock price anytime soon.
Aapl has clearly lost it's "cool". SS & Nok are out cooling them. Given a choice between an iphone and a Galaxy I'll take the latter for its larger screen. Nok's Win8 phones are pretty impressive too. Aapl made the classic mistake of most behemoths: complacency. A phablet and mini a year ago would have take the wind out of the competition. Now they have to play catchup. Aapl needs new game changers like iGlasses (beaten to the punch by Google), iWatch, iTV, etc. for another stock rally.
Everything looks like a commodity, but if you want a larger screen.
But concerning after sales service, Samsung sort of sucks, and Nokia outsources it in Cn.
Actually the Genius Bar services in Cn are better than in the Bay Area!
As for the Apple Rumor app...not necessary, we already have the Seeking Alpha app. It serves the purpose quite well.
