Our long feared bugaboo may be coming to pass. Once these GM seeds become too popular, the worlds' corn crops will lack sufficient genetic diversity, and a single new strain of something bad might spread like wildfire through the worlds' crop of that year, leaving us all starved to death.
The solution is obvious. Move to another planet.
