    H&R Block (HRB) will not offer tax anticipation loans in 2012 as a combination of the IRS providing faster refunds and a spate of negative publicity about the high cost of such loans to customers eats away at demand. A consumer group notes the loan fees translate to the equivalent of an APR of 169%.
