I guess as long as the never-ending bailouts continue...
And corporations can continue to slash workers and thus grow their profits...
And the answer to too much debt is going more in debt...
The farce of the market can continue for a long while.
On the other hand, I have never bought expensive cars, boats, RV's, Motorcycles, Timeshares, expensive vacations... I once went to collect rent from a tenant and found them living much better than I was living with the latest electronics and furnishings.
Instead I worked hard and always saved and invested a portion of my earnings. Most people could do that perhaps by eliminating alcohol, drugs, cigarettes, gambling, bungy jumping.
Life is an investment! Save money to invest! Invest in your health! Invest in educating yourself! If you do life will pay off.
