    Microsoft (MSFT -2.2%) is trading lower following its dividend hike, as investors appear upset the company didn't make a larger move, as some had called for or hoped. Citi thinks the move nonetheless brings Microsoft's yield to a level where income investors may be intrigued, but is concerned about the lack of an additional near-term catalyst.

    Windows 8 is the catalyst that makes Microsoft compelling as a growth play. Windows 8 brings Microsoft into the fast growing mobile computing segment. Early reviews have been extremely positive. Windows 8 should give Microsoft a significant piece of the tablet / slate market.
