The "bring your own device" trend has been growing for years, whether with or without the approval of IT departments. Employees will naturally gravitate toward devices that are easier (and sometimes more enjoyable) to use. IT administrators will naturally prefer platforms that ensure their own job security. Apple has ensured its products will benefit from this trend by making them easier and more enjoyable to use. We shouldn't lose sight of the fact that Apple has never created anything new, whether it be computers, MP3 players, smartphones, tablets, or pads. Their success has been earned by improving the end-user experience, a critical detail that should be obvious but is seldom understood by their competitors.
