Warren Buffett tells CNBC that Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.A -1.1%) has already started repurchasing stock under the company's recently announced buyback. He doesn't say how much, since the "paperwork was just completed yesterday." The buyback program should not be seen as a sign he doesn't see potential acquisitions, Buffett adds.

  • Memo to self:
Publicly support a presidential candidate with no use for capitalism and an insatiable appetite for taxes and green job giveaway programs.
Sit back and watch the markets crash in a slow burn.
Buy back a bunch of my own stock.
Run more fundraisers for the man.
    Repeat all previous steps.
Kick back and enjoy life in the political candy store.

  • Memo to Mad_Max_A_Million:

    1) Blame Obama for a financial meltdown (2007-2009) that occurred during Dubya/GOP's reign of power (2001-2009). (Scapegoating is done best when it is undeserved and random as possible.)

    2) Pine for return of party that caused financial meltdown and has not taken responsibility for what happened under their leadership.

    3) Ignore facts and logic when making one's mind up, and instead kick back, feeling smug and self-righteous (rather than clueless and delusional).

    4) Shake head and wonder why America has no solutions to the problems, all the while being a self-righeous partisan egotist.

    5) Look for more inappropriate scapegoats.

    6) Repeat as necessary to make self feel better, all while accomplishing nothing.

  • Mad, best comment I have seen in a long time.

Obama is destroying our country, and that is the biggest problem right now.

  • Tell me if I am wrong but I think Joe Morgan thinks that MaxPSA is blaming Obama, but I think he was saying that the real culprit to blame was the G.W. Bush administration. Which is true?

  • Oh, I get it. There are 2 Maxes on this commentary. MaxPSA is the valid one.
