The percentage of women shoppers moving toward buying items online continues to increase at a rapid rate. According to a market survey, 89% of women now use online browsing over store hopping to compare items and 47% complete their purchases online compared to 45% in stores. The trend works in the favor of retailers with thriving e-commerce and mobile channels. Limited Brands (LTD -1.3%), Macy's (M +2.1%), and Urban Outfitters (URBN -0.6%) come to mind - while Amazon (AMZN -0.4%) doesn't mind the coach potato shopping syndrome one little bit either.
