Tuesday, October 4, 2011, 10:39 AM ETNow that Boeing (BA -1.8%) is actually delivering 787s, its CEO says production on 787-8s will increase to 2.5 aircraft a month in November and reach 3.5 per month in late winter or early spring - a marked increase from current monthly production of 2 aircraft. As for profits, James McNerney sees the program generating positive cash flow before 2020.
