Buying old crappy TV series will only push subscribers further away. Customers want the big hit big name movies. Sarandos said 60% of the shows watched on Netflix now are TV shows. Of course this is the case because that's what Netflix is offering. They are losing all the good content from the studios and replacing it with this crap.

This would have been better if they got the rights to the other great shows that AMC has as well. If this is only for The Walking Dead, which is a good show, they are really missing out on AMC's prime shows of Mad Men and The Killing.

Obviously you haven't seen the Walking Dead Joey. It is a brand new, and very popular, show heading into its second season starting next week.

AMC also is the channel with the popular Mad Men series. This is the first real positive for Netflix I have seen in a awhile.

I am somewhat biased as I am huge WD fan and have been waiting for it to come on to Netflix streaming.

I don't care what shows they are. None of this makes up for losing the Starz content. Let's be real here the majority of subscribers also have cable and have access to these shows to begin with. What they don't have access to is the movies.

Agreed. Good point Joey.

There is very little in newer release movies available via netflix streaming. Starz definitely helped with that.
